Learn some fascinating facts about ferns by joining us for a presentation by Angie Lucas, Senior Land Steward and botanist at the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy, as she presents an overview of the native fern species found in our region, as well as some identification tips to use while exploring the northern forest and wetland trails of northwest lower Michigan.

As a land steward at the GTRLC since 2009, Angie has worked with volunteers and partner organizations on many flora and fauna projects including wetland restoration, invasive species removal, vegetation monitoring, and rare plant inventories.  She enjoys learning about nature and sharing that information with others to connect people of all ages to the natural wonders around them.

This will be a zoom meeting.  A link to the zoom meeting will be provided with your registration confirmation.

The Master Gardener Association of Northwest Michigan (MGANM) furthers the horticulture education activities of MSU Extension through monthly educational presentations. An optional $5 donation for speaker events from non-members is appreciated to defray costs.  If you are not able to make a donation, please email wordenwood@msn.com for zoom access after you register.  All attendees must be registered.  For certified master gardeners meeting attendance earns credits toward volunteer and education hours.
