 Santa Rosa Labyrinth

Labyrinth Tour at the Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park

A paved labyrinth is the newest addition to the Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park. To learn more about the historical aspects of a labyrinth, Master Gardeners are invited to attend an on-site Master Gardener Association of Northwest Michigan member only program July 6,  2021 at 6:30 p.m.

"Walking a labyrinth has a lot of physical and emotional healing benefits. It is made to clear your mind and melt your stress away," Karen Schmidt, Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park Board Chairperson said.

All the plants, trees and herbs surrounding the labyrinth will be red at some point in the year.  Red was intentionally chosen to represent the red spires on the roof of the state hospital.

The on-site program is free and open to members of MGANM. To register, go to MGANM.org by July 2, 2021. Attendance will be limited to the first 30 members who pre-register. Tours of the Botanic Garden will be available after the program. Members are encouraged to bring a beverage and an appetizer to share.  Social time will be at the Botanic Garden pavilion following the program.
