      Native Seed Mix

                                               Seed Collection and Germination

Gardeners interested in Seed Collection and Germination can learn more at the September 7, 2021, 6:30 pm meeting of the Master Gardener Association of Northwest Michigan. Nancy Poppa will present information about the collection and germination of native perennial plants. The information can be applied to fruits and vegetables too. “Seed collection and germination is an excellent way to add to your garden and spread the use of native plants economically. Native plants are so important to the landscape; providing food and nectar for insects, erosion control and habitat,” Popa said.

The virtual meeting is open to the public. The event is free to MGANM members and a $5 donation is suggested for non-members. To register go to MGANM.org. by September 3. All those who register will receive a link to the meeting via email.
