Learn how to maintain your garden tools at the Open House at The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park. At stations in various park locations, presenters will demonstrate how to maintain garden equipment. Possum Mike Deering will share insight into equipment maintenance and gearing up your tools for a new year in the garden. Laurel Voran will give tips and techniques for spring cleanup. The program includes information about new plantings at the Botanic Garden with Executive Director Matthew Ross.

About our Host
Matthew Ross is the Executive Director of The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park. Before coming to Traverse City, he worked as the Continuing Education Director at Longwood Gardens overseeing over 200 programs in horticulture, landscape design, and floristry. He is nationally recognized as leader in horticulture and gardening and has a BS and MS from Michigan State University in Horticulture Science with an emphasis in Landscape Design Construction Management and Urban Forestry respectively.
